MCPHEE, The Reverend Douglas Haig - The Reverand Douglas H. McPhee passed gently in his sleep on Friday, January 16, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. in Harriston, Ontario, in the presence of Ruth and Maureen McPhee. In his 90th year, Douglas was father to Michael, Maureen and Daniel; grandfather to Michael, Eden, Michelle, Christine, Ceilidh, Brenna and Griffin; and great-grandfather to Joshua, Ryan, Jordan, Erin and Jamie. Through his work as a United Church Minister and his relationships with family and friends, he defined for us ''the transcendent values that give grace to our moment on earth.'' A funeral service will be held at Dublin Street United Church, 68 Suffolk St., Guelph, Ontario on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favourite charity.
