KERSHAW – Rev. Bobby Ernest Price, 79, of Kershaw passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Dorn VA Hospital in Columbia. He was born May 11, 1933 in Pageland, a son of the late Vernon Allen Price and Flonnie Horton Price. Rev. Price was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He had been the Pastor of Brenton Baptist Church in Brenton, West Virginia; Rice's Creek Baptist Church in Liberty, S.C.; Pineview Baptist Church in Kershaw; Mitford Baptist Church in Great Falls; and had retired while serving Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Beckley, West Virginia. During his retirement, he did interim work and pulpit supply.A service to celebrate the life of Rev. Price was held Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 11 am at Oakhurst Baptist Church with the Rev. John Rogers and the Rev. Louie Anderson officiating. Burial was in the Oakhurst Baptist Church Cemetery, 394 Barrett Road, Heath Springs, SC.Rev. Price is survived by his wife, Sarah Hunter Price; a son, Bobby E. "Skip" Price Jr. and his wife Lou of Culpeper, Va.; a daughter, Sherry Price Hunter and her husband Mike of Kershaw; a sister, Margaret Watts of Spring Lake, N.C.; a sister –in-law, Frankie Price of Belmont, N.C.; three grandchildren, Kristen Galuppi and her husband Greg, Stephanie Rollings and her husband Catlin, and Zachary A. Price; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rev. Price was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Roy Price and J. C. Price; a sister, Frances Sims; two brothers in law, J. D.
