Robert D. Williams, 71, died Feb. 24, 2006, at his home. He was born in Binghamton, N.Y. and lived in Vero Beach for two years, coming from Putnam, Conn. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a maintenance manager at Woodland Manor in Vero Beach. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion, and the VFW in Putnam. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Linda Williams of Vero Beach; son, Mark Williams of New York; stepson, James Guertin of Georgia; stepdaughter, Laurie Champagne of Vero Beach; four brothers, Bret, James, Vern, and George Williams, all of New York; sisters, Lucy Coleman and Mary Stamick, both of New York; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Gifford-Seawinds Chapel.
