ARMSTRONG, RALPH LOWRY "BUDDY" age 71, of Bessemer, AL, passed away January 4, 2012. Buddy was a graduate of Bessemer High School, the University of Alabama and Cumberland School of Law, Class of 1965. He was a past president of the Bessemer Bar Association. A former representative in the State of Alabama House of Representatives. Buddy practiced law in Bessemer for 45 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ileen Owen, Mary Armstrong, and Ralph W. Arnmstrong, and his former wife, Ann Armstrong Phegn. He is survived by his children, Buddy Armstrong, Jr., and Leigh Ann Armstrong; his grandchildren, Nicholas Armstrong, Parker Lowry Coleman, Rhetta Coleman and Peter Coleman, III, and his sister, Sherry Armstrong Northcutt. Funeral services will be held at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home Sunday, January 8, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. with the visitation two hours prior to the service.
