PENN YAN - Phyllis Bradley Smith, 91, of Penn Yan, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Friends and family may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 11) at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan. Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 12) at the Penn Yan United Methodist Church, with the Rev. K. Wayne Butler officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Penn Yan. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Penn Yan Public Library, 214 Main St., Penn Yan 14527; Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Road, Geneva 14456; or to the Penn Yan United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 242, Penn Yan 14527. Phyllis was born March 16, 1918, in Ulster, Pa., the daughter of the late Oscar and Edna Farrell Bradley. She was a graduate of Mansfield State College and taught in Pennsylvania, Branchport and in Penn Yan for 16 years. She was a longtime member of the Penn Yan Methodist Church and was active in community organizations. Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Beverly A. (Lee J.) Cook of Penn Yan, Sandra J. (William S.) Kelly of Naples, and Kay S. (Keith E.) Additon of Cooperstown, Otsego County; her grandchildren, Jason Cook, Jeremy (Elizabeth) Cook, Julie (Sean) Secord, Jonathan (Kacie) Cook, Susan (Michael) Nelson, David Kelly, Cheryl (John) Erhardt, Rebecca (Anthony) Veltri and Emily Additon; her great-grandchildren, Emily, Anna and Eliza Cook, Ryan Secord, Patrick, Shane, Sidney and Kelly Nelson, and Landon Collins.
