Phyllis D. (Nolen) Williams, 78, of West Frankfort passed way at 1:30 a.m. Monday, September 14, 2009 at her residence. She was born April 15, 1931in West Frankfort to Eugene McDaniel and Lala Fox McDaniel. She married Roy E. Nolen and he preceded her in death. She then married Donald P. Williams on May 26, 1984 in West Frankfort. Survivors include her husband, Donald P. Williams of West Frankfort; sons, David A. and wife, Carolyn Nolen of West Frankfort, Robert W. Nolen of East Moline, Il., and Mark E. and wife, Narcissa Nolen of Coal Valley, Il.; daughters, Deborah Chokkalingam of Moline, Il. and Jane E. and husband, Jeff Johnson of West Frankfort; 12 grandchildren 15 great grandchildren 7 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren; step son, Brian Williams and wife, Patricia of Orlando, Fl.; step daughters, Deborah Statton of Houston, Tx. and Karen Sorrentino and husband, Frank of Orlando Fl.; brothers, Paul E. McDaniel of Marion, Il., Harold McDaniel of Matherville, Il., Jerry McDaniel of West Frankfort and Gary McDaniel of Roach, Mo.; sisters, Barbara Lawson of Moline, Il. and Sandra Sweetland of Milan, Il.. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Roy E. Nolen in 1980, a grandson, Bobby Nolen, brothers, Bill, Donald and Joe McDaniel and cousin and special friend, Bernice Summers. Phyllis was a member of the Second Baptist Church in West Frankfort and very active in the Homemakers Class. She retired from Sears & Roebuck as Head Cashier after 22 years. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Second Baptist Church in West Frankfort with Dr. Brett Beasley officiating. Burial will be in the Tower Heights Cemetery in West Frankfort. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Second Baptist Church Homemaker Class and will be accepted at the funeral home and church.
