Peggy Jean McAlister, 59, of 644 Billy Leopard Road, wife of David "Mac" McAlister, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Laurens County Hospital.Born in Gray Court, she was the daughter of the late Lee Edward Armstrong and Frances Louise Tumblin Armstrong. She was a former employee of the Laurens Special Needs and Disability Board and was a member of Dials United Methodist Church in Gray Court.Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, David Wayne McAlister, Jr. and fiancee, Sharon Bolt, of Laurens, Tony Keith McAlister and wife, Trudy, of Seymour, Ind., and Brian Kevin McAlister of Cross Hill; two brothers, Dennis Armstrong and Dale Armstrong and wife Beth, all of Fountain Inn; five sisters, Frances Turner and husband, Bobby, of Fountain Inn, Helen Stewart and husband, Jack, of Enoree, Diane Crowe of Mauldin, Sharon Armstrong of Laurens and Becky Lyons and husband, Mike, of Gray Court; and four grandchildren, Larry Wayne McAlister, Justin McAlister, Joshua McAlister, and Alauna McAlister.She was predeceased by a brother, Roger Lee Armstrong.Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Forest Lawn Cemetery conducted by Rev. J.D.
