ONEIDA >> Pearl C. Williams, 93, of Cresent Avenue, died Saturday morning, March 16, 2013, at her residence with her family by her side. Born in South Bay, on Jan. 12, 1920, she was a daughter of Casper C. and Pearl Mason Kyser. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Stockbridge Valley High School, Class of 1936. She married Abraham V. Williams in Hickory Knolls, Oneida on July 3, 1940. Mr. Williams died June 5, 1991. Pearl was a member of Madison and City of Oneida Democratic Committee, Waterline Extension Committee, First Ward Democrat Election Inspectors for 35 years, City Assessors during Vick P. Tarry, Sign Review Committee, AARP serving 11 years as treasurer and Travel and Tour Committee, and Oneida Healthcare Auxiliary. She also was a volunteer member of the Madison County Historical Society. Mrs. Williams had been involved with the Office of Price Administration and the ration Board during World War II. She lived on West Road for 47 years, moving to Cresent Avenue in 1991.Surviving are: one daughter, Kathi Bracy of Oneida; two sons and daughters-in-law, Abraham V. and Gloria Williams Jr. of Pickney, Mich. and Kevin and Carrie Williams of Oneida; Abe, Jr.'s first wife, Sybilla Williams of Jacksonville, Ore.; eight grandchildren, Sybilla Dubois, Erik Williams, Deborah Sitter, Jennifer and husband Jake Schreckengost, Kevin Williams, Jr., Samantha Witlock, Brandt Bracy and his wife Michelle and Brenda Mastrangelo and her husband Michael; several great- and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Casper and Robert Kyser and one sister, Dorothy Looft.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday from the New Hope Community Christian Church, West Road Oneida with the Rev. Vernon Smart officiating. Friends may call at the church 4-7 Tuesday. Interment will be made in Stockbridge Cemetery.
