State of FloridaLAKELAND -- Mrs. Patricia Shuman of Lakeland died of complications following a stroke Monday (July 31, 2006) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 87.Born in Wauchula on May 9, 1919, she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a secretary for the state government. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church of Lakeland.Mrs. Shuman was preceded in death by her husband, Chester F. Shuman Sr. She is survived by her son, Chester Shuman, Concord, N.C.; daughter, Bonnie Ganey, Lakeland; sister, Deloris McGrory, Newport News, Va.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren.Memorial services will be at 2 this afternoon at Lakeside Baptist Church.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church.
