SMITH, PHYLLIS (SHUART) Phyllis (Shuart) Smith, 78, of Spotswood, NJ, died Saturday, April 30, 2005 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. Born in Suffern, NY, she resided in Spotswood, NJ, Monsey and Wurtsboro, NY, before settling again in Spotswood last year. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel D. Smith in February 2005, her brother, Eugene Shuart and her parents: Russell and Nellie Shuart. She is survived by her daughters: Susan Capello of Wurtsboro, NY and Cheryl "Cheri" and her husband, Jerry High of Spotswood; her grandson, Robert Louis Capello and his wife, Maria of Pearl River, NY; a granddaughter, Aimee Nuwer and her husband, Chris of Winchester, VA; three great-grandchildren: Gabriella Capello and Emma and Casey Nuwer and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be at 12 pm Thursday from the Scarr Funeral Home, 160 Orange Avenue, Suffern, NY. Interment will follow at the Brick Church Cemetery, Ramapo, NY. Friends and family may call Thursday morning from 10 am to 12 pm at the Funeral Home.
