->MADISON - Nancy Louise Gilbert, 68, of Madison died Friday, Sept. 14, after a courageous battle with heart disease. Nancy was born in Madison, daughter of Arthur and Ethelyn (Corson) Arsenault, on June 8, 1939. A 1957 graduate of Madison High School, Nancy married Richard N. Gilbert of Madison on Sept. 14, 1957. Her family was her passion and she spent many years of her life devoted to raising her children. She worked in the shoe industry and volunteered in the Madison schools for many years.Nancy took much pleasure in the company of friends and family and spent many summers camping on the shores of Sebago Lake. She enjoyed shopping and dining with her friends, family gatherings and traveling. Nancy has joined her two sons, Richard and Ronald, and her father Arthur Arsenault in heaven. She is survived by her mother Ethelyn Arsenault of Waterville, husband of 50 years, Richard; sister Susan Waldron of Waterville, brother David and wife Brenda Arsenault of Norridgewock and sister Penney and husband John Kymalainen of Massachusetts; sons David and wife Janice of Embden and their children Brigette and Garret, Marc and wife Corina of Mercer and their children Brett, Brooke and Paige, daughter-in-law Jan of Melbourne, FL and her sons Marc and Ronald; sister-in-law Joyce Sawyer of Madison, sister-in-law Noreen and husband Doug Murray of Madison; her nieces and nephews Stephanie Duprey of Waterville, Kim Waldron of North Carolina, Blaine and wife Heather Arsenault, Karen Griffin of Massachusetts , Kathy Falbo of Fairfield, Kelly and husband Randy Belanger, Michael and wife Kelly Whalen, Jeffrey Murray, Gregory and wife Wendy Murray of Madison; as well as many great-nieces and nephews. Nancy will be sadly missed by close, lifelong friends Phyllis McQuarrie, Fran Green, and neighbors Leo and Cathi Veilleux, as well as many, many special friends, all of whom meant a great deal to her. A memorial mass and celebration of Nancy's life will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19, at St. Sebastian Rasle Catholic Church in Madison. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to, American Cancer Society, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island Suite 300, Topsham, ME. 04086-1240.
