Norma High Smith, 54, of 406 Ranch Circle, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley. Born in Rocky Mount, N.C., a daughter of John W. High Sr. of Rocky Mount, N.C., and the late Pattie Winters High, Mrs. Smith was a homemaker, prior to which she kept numerous children in her home. She was a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church, where she belonged to the Ladies Two Sunday School Class. Surviving are her husband, Jimmy L. Smith of the home; two sons, Charles W. Smith and his wife, Audrey, of Taylors, and Jammy L. Smith of Bluffton; a daughter, Amy Moore-Adams and her husband, Tommy Adams, of Easley; a brother, Johnny High and his wife, Brenda, of Rocky Mount, N.C.; two sisters, Fay Powell and her husband, Dan, of Durham, N.C., and Becky High-Shipp and her husband, Frank Shipp, of Durham, N.C.; three grandsons, Ashlee Moore, Wesley Adams and Brandon Smith; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Keith Shorter, Rev. Ken Holcombe and Rev. Otis Darnell officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, Rocky Mount, N.C. The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and will be placed in the church at 9:30 a.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Airy Baptist Church, 210 Mt. Airy Church Road, Easley, SC 29642. The family is at the residence. Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley, is assisting the family with arrangements.
