JOHNSON, Mrs. Nelcie Lee Martin, 81, a native of Union Springs, AL, now residing in Hialeah, FL, passed away Monday, February 24, 2003.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. from Mount Silla Missionary Baptist Church, Union Springs, AL, Rev. Ma-jor E. Whitlow, Sr., Pastor, with Rev. John Bell, Jr., Officiating. Interment will follow in Mason Cemetery. The Caring Staff of Carter Funeral Home will direct all services.On Monday, February 24, 2003 with her husband and daughter at her bedside God called her home. She leaves to cherish her love for family, a devoted husband, Everett Johnson; one daughter, Dorothy Bowens, Miami, Florida; one son, George Bowens, Union Springs, Alabama; one brother, Alvester (Bettye) Martin, Miami, Florida; three grandchildren, Tangela (R-onald) Spencer, Clayton, North Ca-rolina, Torrance (Shannon) Bowens, Alexandria, Louisiana and Misty El-lington, Greenville, North Carolina; and nine great-grandchildren. Nelcie's love and affection will also be missed and cherished by: one brother-in-law, Milton Foster, Cleve-land, Ohio; three sisters-in-law, Ellen Martin, New York; Laura Martin, Co-lumbus, Georgia and Frances Mar-tin - Columbus, Georgia; one aunt, Sallie Mae Thomas, Union Springs, Alabama; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends; especially her two devoted cousins, Henry O. Thomas, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Smith of Union Springs, Alabama.
