FLORENCE, Ky. – Gene Davis, 77, of Florence, formerly of Carrollton, Ky., and Daytona Beach, Fla., died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence. Funeral services were Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton. Survivors include his wife, Wilda Jo Hendricks Davis of Florence; three sons, Mark Davis of Carrollton, Tom Davis of Union, Ky., and Chuck Davis of Louisville, Ky.; and six grandchildren. His parents, Ellis Davis and Ruth Marie Baker Davis Butch, preceded him in death.
