MICHAEL (MIKE) MELNYK March 15, 1920 November 24, 2006 Mike passed away at the Lakeview Pioneer Lodge in Wakaw, Saskatchewan after a lengthy battle with cancer. Mike will be forever remembered and missed by his loving wife, Ethel of 60 years; his four sons, Don (Dorothy) Melnyk, Jack (Lilianne) Melnyk, David (Maureen) Melnyk, Kenny (Gisele) Melnyk; and one daughter, Linda (Dave) Coll. He will always be remembered and greatly missed by his 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mike was an active member of the Bethania Lutheran Church. He was active in numerous community, boards and organizations such as: Northern Light Curling and Community Club, Canadian and Saskatchewan Hereford Association, Prince Albert Credit Union, 4H Club, Prince Albert Coop Association, Prince Albert Exhibition Association, Wakaw Legion, NDP. Mike was happiest when he was on the farm working with cattle and surrounded by his family. Funeral Service will be held: Monday, November 27, 2006, 2:00 p.m., St. Joan of Arc Church, Domremy, Saskatchewan. Intement will take place at Bethania Lutheran Church Cemetery.
