McKENDREE Norma Jean McKendree, 79, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012. Born in Marshall, MO, she was one of eight children to Anna and Ray Huesgen. She was a loving mother of five children and grandmother to six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One of her true passions in life was breeding and showing Irish Setters, which she did for over fifty years. She was instrumental in establishing the Irish Setter Club of Jacksonville and many of her dogs went on to win prestigious awards, including honors at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and many Best in Shows. Norma will always be remembered as a woman who devoted herself completely to her family, friends and faith. Her memory will be forever cherished by all of the lives that she touched. Donations can be made in her memory to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4715 Worrall Way, Jacksonville, FL 32224. Services will be held to celebrate her life on Tuesday, March 13th at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 545 A1A North, Ponte Vedra, FL 32082.
