MCCORMICK, S.C. - Mrs. Mary P. Harris, a daughter of the late George Green Henderson and Alberta Holloway Henderson, died October 20, 2008. She was a member of Springfield A.M.E. Church and served on the Steward Board, Gospel Chorus, as Sunday School Secretary, and was a Life member of the Women's Missionary Society. She was a former employee of Mt. Vernon Mill and retired from the McCormick Dry Cleaners. She was twice married, first to the late J. Willie Perrin and to this union two sons were born. She later married the late John W. Harris. Survivors are two sons, Willie A. Perrin and Billy Wayne Perrin, both of McCormick, S.C.; a grandson reared in the home, Dwayne Leverette, Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Annie Kate Harris of Augusta and Janie M. Mims of McCormick; a brother, Bennie (Joan) Ardister of Anderson, S.C.; six other grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services are Saturday at 1 p.m. at Springfield A.M.E. Church with the Pastor Rev. Derrick Stewart and Rev. Eric Butler officiating. Interment is in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of a son, Willie A. Perrin at 535 Talbert Rd.
