Mary Neal Jackson 1933 2011 SPRINGFIELD - Mary Neal Jackson 78, departed this life on Friday, October 28, 2011 at Bay State Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born July 15, 1933 in Brookhaven, MS. to the late Fletcher and Elise (L.E. Lewis) Jackson she was educated by the Mississippi School System. She is also predeceased by her brother Garfield Jackson, her sisters Lucille Daniels, Helen McCoy, Ethel McCreary and Betty Williams, brothers in law J.W. Daniels, George Clark, and Willie James McCreary Sr. In 1968 Mary relocated to Springfield, where she made this her home. Mary fondly called "Aunt Mary" was the strength and the matriarch of the family. She was a former employee of Valley Industries in West Springfield, American Bosch, and retired from Hamilton Standard in Windsor Locks, CT. Mary leaves to cherish her memory her children Marilyn McCoy and Felicia Jackson both of Springfield, her grandchildren Shandria McCoy, Tanisha and Parrish Wallace, her sisters Nancy Jackson, Rubie Jackson and Dorothy Jackson all of Springfield, and Ms. Earline Arnold and her brother David Charles Reed of Brookhaven, MS and brother-in-law, Mr. Ollie Williams of Springfield as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and her two life long friends from Mississippi, Ms. Betty Collier and Ms. Dorothy Jefferson. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Tawaina White, Darla Lowe and Annette Warren for the devoted care they provided for her. We also like to thank the Western Mass Kidney Center 2000 Main St. Springfield, MA. and the Baystate VNA and Greater Springfield Senior Services for all of the care and services they provided. The Wake will be held on Monday, November 7, 2011, 6:00-8:00 P.M at Henderson Funeral Home, 52 Hancock St. Springfield. Funeral Services will follow on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Third Baptist Church, 149 Walnut St., Springfield. Burial is at Oak Grove Cemetery.
