Mary-Lorraine Nolan, born in 1923, spouse of Robert-E. Nolan, mother of Pamela Anne, Thomas and Sharon, died on September 13, 2013 at 90 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
Mary Lorraine Nolan, 90, passed away on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison, N.J. The funeral will be from Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave., Fanwood, N.J., on Wednesday at 9 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary R.C. Church, 1571 Martine Ave., Scotch Plains, N.J. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, N.J. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. For additional information, or to express condolences, please visit www.fanwoodmemorial.com. Born in Boston, Mass., Mary had lived in Old Bridge, N.J., before moving to Scotch Plains in 1972. Mary proudly served with the U.S. Army during World War II. She was a payroll secretary at Jonathan Dayton High School in Springfield, N.J., for many years before retiring. Mary was a member of the American Legion Post No. 3 in Westfield, N.J., as well as a member of the Rosary Society at Immaculate Heart of Mary R.C. Church in Scotch Plains. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert E. Nolan; her daughter, Sharon Bie and her husband, Thomas; her two grandchildren, Marisa Kuebler and Krista Keats, and her two great-grandchildren, Devin and Michaela. She was predeceased by her daughter, Pamela Anne Nolan, who died in 1970. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary R.C. Church, Scotch Plains.
