Mary L. Richard Hobart Mary L. Richard, age 77, of Hobart, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2005. Survived by four children: Alvin (Rose) Richard of Wheatfield, IN, Rev. Janie (Phillip) Espinoza of Portage, IN, Denise (Michael) Edwards of Hobart, Ivy Joe (Pam) Richard, Jr. of Hobart; four sisters: Martha (Richard) Trask of Hobart, Helen Glascoff of TN, Faye Milligan of TN and Shirley (Leonard) Vargas of OK; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Bishop Ivy J. Richard, Sr. and grandson, SPC Roy R. Buckley; two brothers: Malcolm Rushing and Marshall Rushing. Mary was a member of Church of Jesus Christ, New Chicago, Local 208, VFW Auxiliary Unit 5365 and a retired custodian from the Lake Ridge School system with 19 years of service. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, 6360 Broadway, Merrillville on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. with an Auxiliary service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel with Elder Mitchell Law, officiating.
