MARY JUNE ERICKSON Mary June Erickson, 82, was taken to Heaven on 5/22/2012 after a long battle with illness. She was born on May 3, 1930 to Joseph Martin Johnson and Anna Costello in Chicago, Illinois. She is predeceased by her first husband John Kelly, seond husband Ralph Erickson, both of Chicago, and eldest son Lawrence J. Kelly of Oak Creek, Colorado. She is survived by four children: Collen Kelly-Brown of Penrose, Colorado, Daniel Kelly of Yampa, Colorado, Jody Erickson of Tallahassee, Fl. and Joe Erickson of Hollywood, Fl., grandchildren Jeremy, Jennifer, Tylor, Joe, Vanessa, Joey and great granddaughter Audrey. Mary June Erickson, known as June by her many, many, friends, was a long time resident of Stuart, Florida. She served as a strong advocate for our Military Veterans, volunteering countless hours as Veterans Chairperson of the local Elks Lodge, President of the local VFW Ladies Auxilliary, member of the American Legion and many other service and social organizations. She lived an exemplary life and we were all inspired by her strength, courage and devotion to serve those who have served our country. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Wounded Warriors Project. A memorial service, and celebration of her life, is planned in the near future at the Stuart Elks Lodge.
