JONES, Mary Ellen, 86, died unexpectedly on Tues-day, November 25. She was born January 23, 1928 in Tampa, Florida. She attended Florida State College for Women (FSU). In 1949, she was selected as a princess in the Court of Gasparilla. On December 26, 1949, she married her high school sweetheart, Nelson Jones and followed him around the world as a military wife. She also spent 12 years volunteering at the Mayo Clinic in Jack-sonville, Florida. Her amazing eye for design and love of nature, was guided by the truth that God's work in nature was a gift to mankind to be shared, not redesigned. Mary Ellen is survived by her loving, devoted hus-band, Nelson H. Jones. She also leaves behind a son, Dean Jones (Karen); a daughter, Leslie Kavanagh (Tim) and a daughter, Lynne Eastman (Jim). M'Ellen, a nickname from her grandchildren, also leaves behind 8 grands and 5 great-grands. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Naples Community Hospital Foundation and St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Bonita Springs. There will be a Funeral and Requiem Eucharist for Mrs. Jones on December 5, at 10:00AM at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Bonita Springs.
