Athens Mary W. Burgess, 98, of Athens, died May 31, 2011. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at New Dorsey Tabernacle Baptist Church, with interment in East Lawn Memorial Cemetery. A family hours will be held 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Survivors include sisters, Willie Mae Smith, Annie Pearl Hall, and Lillie Jeter; brother, Willie Mack Jeter; nephew, Willie James Jeter, and other relatives and friends. Gardenview Funeral Chapel, Athens, has charge of arrangements.
