-->Martha Wheeler Owens SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mrs. Martha Wheeler Owens, 66, of 2416 South Pine Street, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Mountview Nursing Home after a long illness. A native of Spartanburg County, she was the wife of Mr. Robert Owens, Sr. and the daughter of the late Columbus and Martha Tharpe Williams. She was a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by one son, Roderice Wheeler; one stepson, Robert Owens, Jr. both of Spartanburg; two daughters, Linda Owens of Spartanburg and Debra Brooks of Greenville, SC; three sisters, Rosa Lee Palmer, Geraldine Smith and Nellie Smith, all of Spartanburg and eighteen grandchildren.
