-> Martha Jane Lewis Stephens, 79, died Saturday, September 4, 2004 at Gentilly Gardens, Statesboro, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Louis Stephens. Mrs. Stephens was born in Vero Beach, FL and moved to Savannah in the mid 1950's from Florida. She retired after 33 years of service from the Chatham County Board of Education as executive secretary for the Vocation Education Department, at 208 Bull Street. She was a former member of Riverside Baptist Church and was currently a member of Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church in Statesboro, GA. She is survived by a son, Rodney Stephens of Guyton, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Brad Martin of Statesboro, GA; three grandson, Garnie and Billy Rollins and Scott Martin. Several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Monday, September 6, 2004 at Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service: 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Riverside Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Andrews and Rev. Joe Conner officiating. Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Hubert C.
