ST. ARNAUD, Marie Anna January 7, 1916 August 12, 2010 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Marie St. Arnaud. She passed away peacefully on August 12, comforted by her dear friend Angie Gibbs, after a brief stay in hospital. She will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her loving husband of 70 years, Louis; daughters Dolores Ward (Dave) and Joan Harvie (George), and son Norman St. Arnaud (Kathie); grandsons, Brian, David, Stuart, Barry, David, Kevin, Adam and Brennan; and great-grandsons, Zealand and David. She leaves behind her brother Alfred Schmidt (Laurie), and sister Beatrice Korman; brothers-in-law Ernie Virgin (Laurie) and Paul St. Arnaud (June) and sisters-in-law Karen Schmidt, Betty Schmidt, Marg Schmidt and Mary St. Arnaud. She was loved by numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends, some of several decades and others of only a few years. The family would like to express sincere thanks to Dr. Marshall and the staff and volunteers of the Palliative Care Unit at Saanich Peninsula Hospital. The family greatly appreciates the kind and loving care Marie and Louis received from all the staff at the Peninsula in Sidney. A memorial mass and celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, August 25 at 1:00 pm at St. Elizabeth Church, 10030 Third Street, Sidney, BC with Fr. Rolf Hasenack OP officiating.
