Margaret Mary Burke, 79, died Oct. 12, 2012, at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart. She was born in Teaneck, N.J., and moved to Hobe Sound in 1991 from New Jersey. Prior to retirement, she was a registered nurse at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City for 40 years. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Hobe Sound. Survivors include her sister, Michele Cherbonneau of Green Brook, N.J.; and brothers, James Burke of River Edge, N.J., and Joseph Burke of Allentown, N.J. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bishop John Burke. Memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Missionary Union, 135 West 31st St., New York, NY 10001.
