MARTIN _ Margaret (Peg) The family announces with sorrow the passing of Margaret Martha Martin. She was born in Westmeath, Ontario to James Bennie and Nina Fraser on February 11, 1910. Margaret lived a long (92 years) and healthy life. She was a wife to Edward Martin (predeceased); mother to JoAnne (Arnold) Allsopp of Kirkland Lake, Thomas (Janet) of Calgary; grandmother to Beverly Anne Allsopp of Kirkland Lake, Meredith Martin of Calgary and Jordan Martin (Shawna) of Yellowknife; Nana to Ryan Mitchel Allsopp of Kirkland Lake. She was also a friend, aunt, and Granny to many more. Margaret is also survived by her sister-in-law Doreen Bennie Beachburg. She was predeceased by Alice Gibbons, Harold Bennie, Fraser Bennie and Donald Bennie, as well as Ormie Martin and Grace Combs. She was a member of Wesley United Church in Pembroke and a member of the Kathleen Powers Group and a life member of the U.C.W. She will be missed by those who knew her over the years, however, we are sure she is reunited with many others. Cremation followed her death. A Memorial Service will be held on September 28, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in Wesley United Church, Pembroke, Ontario, with Rev. Wayne Atkinson.
