COX, Margaret Janet "Aunt Ma"Age 93 of Dickson. February 7, 2008. She was the daughter of the late George & Minerva Orgain Cox. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Cornelia Jobe Downey and Hazel Plant; brother, Kenneth Cox; nephews, Larry Jobe, Billy Plant, Sr., Jack Plant, Jerry Plant, George Plant. She attended schools in Dickson County and worked for Red Cap Manufacturing Company for over forty years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dickson, but attended in recent years, Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church of Primm Springs. Called "Aunt Ma" to all who knew and loved her, she devoted her life to helping raise her nephews, Neil and Larry Jobe. Aunt Ma had a wealth of knowledge: gardening, scrapbooking, Dickson County and family histories, letter writing, and homemade caramel pies were among her many talents. She lived ninety-three independent "just let me do it" years. She is survived by her nephews, Neil Jobe (Beatrice) of Primm Springs, James Cox (Maxine) of Brentwood; nieces, Betty Byrd (Tom) of Nashville, Linda Redmond (Glen) of Franklin; also survived by a host of great nieces & nephews, as well as great-great nieces & nephews, all who loved her very much. Visitation with the family will be Saturday February 9th from 12 p.m. til time of service. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m., from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home, with Rev. Roy West officiating. Place of rest will be in the Dickson Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Pleasant UMC of Primm Springs or the Martin Methodist College.
