COX, Minnie Alice Clark,age 82 a resident of Montgomery, Alabama passedaway Friday, August 22, 2008,at Baptist Hospital South inMontgomery after a longcourageous battle with cancer. Graveside services willbe held at Evergreen Cemetery of Elba on Monday, August 25, 2008, beginning at12:00 p.m. with Rev. MartGray officiating. Burial will follow with Hayes Funeral Homeof Elba, Alabama directing.Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home on Monday, August 25, from 11:00 a.m. to12:00 p.m.Mrs. Cox was born in Elba, Alabama. She was the daughter of Henry J. Clark and Minnie Lee Clark of Elba. Shegraduated from Elba HighSchool. Her husband of over50 years, Herbert Joe Coxand infant son, Jimmy, preceded her in death. Herbrothers, Henry, Fred, and EdClark and a sister, Sarah NellHayes also preceded her indeath. Mrs. Cox worked forthe federal government in theROTC at Maxwell Air ForceBase for over 33 years. Shewas a devoted member ofRidgecrest Baptist Churchand a member of The GraceSunday school class. Mrs.Cox is survived by her son,Robert Joseph (Terri) Cox;granddaughter, CourtneyCox, Apex, NC; sister, BettySue Clark Greene, Montgomery, AL; brother, Frank Clark;sister-in-law, Cupidean Clark,Enterprise, AL; along with twosisters-in-law, Charlotte Clark,Elba, AL, and Mary Clark, Palestine, TX. She had many loving nieces and nephews including Betty and JohnWoodson, Steve Clark, FrankClark Jr., Fred Clark Jr., andMark Clark, Tommy and JudyHayes, Ed Clark Jr., and Bobby Clark, Sherry Sue Clark, Dianna Driver, Henry Clark Jr.,Linda Keene. She was alsosurvived by a devoted cousin, George Lamar Collier. Mrs.Cox was also Godmother toher two great-nieces, Amy Susan Stewart, and Alyson LeeAnderson, and a specialgreat-nephew, Brian Stewart,and her great-great-nephew,Camden Anderson.The family wishes to thankBaptist South Hospital Staff,the loving staff of Rehab Firstat Capital Hill Health Care,The Montgomery CancerCenter, and Baptist Hospice.The family also wishes tothank her loving team of doctors, Dr. Juliane Isola, Dr. David Franco, Dr. Harry Barnes,Dr. Tom Wool, Dr. Camack,and Dr. Winston Edwards andtheir staff members.
