WILLIAMS, Michael Anthony"Tarzan"Sunrise: May 21, 1940Sunset: December 5, 2014It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Michael Anthony Williams. Michael was born to his mother Doris Jaqueline (nee Moody) and Howard Alowishus Williams on May 21, 1940. He died peacefully in North Vancouver on December 4, 2014 and he was 74 years of age. Mike is best remembered for his avid canoe racing days with St. Theresa Canoe Club in early 1960s. Michael and his Late Wife Doreen's legacy was attending all Squamish Nation community functions and gatherings. They were respected elders in our community and will be fondly missed. Michael will be missed dearly by his brothers Howard Garnett Williams, Roy 'Ben' Williams; niece Nicole Melissa Paull; nephew Aaron Howard Garnett Williams and grandnephew Ayilem Aaron Lawrence Williams. A Prayer Service will be held on December 7, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.; a Funeral Service on December 8, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Chief Joe Mathias Centre, 100 Capilano Road, North Vancouver, BC.
