Peggy Norris, after a long illness, passed away on December 20, 2006. She was a resident of New Rochelle since her marriage to John Norris on June 20, 1964. She graduated from St. Catherine's Academy in the Bronx and attained her Master's Degree in education from Hunter College. She was born in NYC on January 23, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Helen and James Dooley. She retired as a teacher in the New Rochelle School District where she taught talented and gifted children at Davis Elementary School. Prior to that she taught at Holy Family School in New Rochelle and was a parishioner of Holy Family Church. Peggy loved children and was an exceptional teacher and avid reader. She lived her life for her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, John and her children John, Jim, Eileen and Michael. She has seven grandchildren, Heather, Patrick, Allison, Brian, Alexandra, Timmy and Katie. She is also survived by her sister Eileen Norton and her brother Jim Dooley. Visiting hours will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle. A Funeral is scheduled for Saturday 9:30 AM at Holy Family Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
