Mrs. Johnson died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004. She was one of 10 brothers and sisters born to Fred and Myrtle Culbreath on Aug. 30, 1927, in Union Grove. She married Paul Johnson in 1943 in Cotaco. She is survived by her husband Paul of 61 years, and her two sons, Ben and Stan Johnson; brothers and sisters, Autice Culbreath, Coy Culbreath, Dorothy Lawrence, Delores Bradford and Brenda Brooks; six grandchildren, Amy, Paul, Michelle, Douglas, Sarah and Lauren; and three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Katie and Emery. Louise moved to Texas with Paul and their two sons in 1956 and raised her family in Dallas. Later she and Paul started Johnson’s Real Estate Company at Cedar Creek Lake near Dallas. She was a graduate of the Realtors Institute, director for both the Texas State Board of Realtors and the Henderson County Board of Realtors. She was named Realtor of the Year in Henderson County twice and was a member of that board’s Hall of Fame.Louise will always be remembered for her smile that could light up the room and her genuine love for all of her family. She contributed quietly to help both family and friends when they needed it and never expected anything more than for the gifts to be used wisely. All who knew Louise knew her energy and enthusiasm for whatever she was doing, whether it was work, enjoying time with her grandkids, gardening or golf, she excelled at whatever she was doing. Louise had a deep personal faith but respected the faith and beliefs of others. Labels had no place in Louise’s life, except possibly fair and tolerant. She judged people by their deeds and their integrity, not labels others gave them. Her life was a role model for all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
