Louise Burgess Burke, 89, died on Tuesday, March 6. Born to Louis and Hattie Burgess in Chester, S.C., Mrs. Burke was a longtime resident of Montclair. She was a member of the Catawha American Indian Tribe, and was employed by the Kotler Co. in East Orange as a bookkeeper until she retired. Mrs. Burke was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Clifford Burke; and her sister, Alma. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Maryann Cataldo and her husband Frank, and Kathy Skulitz; her brother-in-law, Thomas John Burke; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
