Graveside services Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at 12 pm at Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 East Chelsea Street, with Apostle Donald Lott, officiating. Interment will follow immediately. She was a native of Tifton, GA and a resident of Tampa for 50+ years. She attended Howard Blake High School, Class of 1958. She loved her baseball, football and car racing. She was employed as a Teacher's Assistant for Hillsborough County Schools at West Tampa, Mendenhall and Oak Grove Elementary Schools. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman and Rosa Lee Gatlin; two brothers, Lewis and Leonard Gatlin; and grandmother, Elizabeth Gatlin of Hyde Park. She leaves to cherish her memory: Thomas Harris; son, Jeffrey Harris (Valerie); two daughters, Tina Harris-Williams, Sonya Harris (Damion); grandchildren, Michael Harris (Brandi), Nycole Harris, Antonio Harris (Yasmin), Lashawn Meredith (Shay), Jazmine Meredith, DeVon Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Sharah McQuay, Ny'Aziah McQuay, Davion Harris, Donivan Harris, Julanei Harris, Janiya Harris, Jerimiah Henderson; niece, Madge Bean; and a host of cousins and friends, Lou Henry Davis, Mary Allen, Gail and Tony Jackson, Roslyn and Reggie Bryant, the Bakers, McBrides, Lovejoys, Colemans and Turners; brothers-in-law, Clifford Harris, Howard Harris, Carol, Larry Harris (Sharon); sisters-in-law, Wanda Bean, Karen Douglas (Melvin), Bonnie Graham; and friend, Mary Allen.
