<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->age 57 passed away March 8, 2014. A graduate of the University of Alabama in Microbiology, she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She earned a Master's of Science in Public Health. A Certified Industrial Hygienist, Katherine had a distinguished career with International Paper, and in recent years worked for MeadWestvaco. A member of the Methodist church, she enjoyed attending Bible Study Fellowship classes. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, Watts E. Davis and Willie Nell "Billie" Davis. She is survived by her brothers, Julian L. Davis (Deborah) of LaGrange, Georgia and Robert W. "Bobby" Davis (Sonya) of Little Rock, Arkansas, 2 nephews and 1 niece. Katherine was an animal lover, her cats and dogs were her children. The family deeply appreciates Peggy and Barry Jones for their loving in-home care for Katherine: "I was sick and you visited me". Visitation will be Monday, March 10th from 5:00 until 7:00p.m. at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood. The Funeral service will be on Tuesday, March 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Ridout's Valley Chapel with Kevin DeLaney officiating. Family burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Methodist Children's Home, 3140 Zelda Court, Montgomery, Alabama 36106.
