Josephine Jones 1924 - 2014 BELLOWS FALLS Josephine F. Jones, 90, went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2014. She was born in Boston, Mass., on March 17, 1924. Following her schooling, she worked for the International Paper Company for 35 years. She was married to Francis S. Jones and they settled together in Newton, Mass., for 28 years before his passing in 1977. She was President of the Newton Upper Falls Women's Club. She moved to Bellows Falls in 2003 to be closer to family and resided at Riverview. She was actively involved in the United Church of Bellows Falls both the Woman's Fellowship and as a United singer. She was also active in the community as a member of the Woman's Club and the Senior Center. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Evelyn Weeks and husband, Bradley; grandchildren, Kelly Bennis, Heather Detch and Nathan Weeks and great-grandchildren, Alyson, Makenzie, Taylor Detch and Hannah Weeks. FUNERAL NOTICE: A service of remembrance will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, at The United Church of Bellows Falls, 8 School Street, by the Rev. Janice Chilek. She will be buried beside her husband in the Needham Cemetery in Needham, Mass.
