Keever Jr. Solace Center, after a battle with lung cancer. A native of Old Fort he was the son of the late Robert Jackson and Florence Waldrop Crawford. John was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church where he was formerly a member of the Vestry. For 27 years he was a pharmacist for CVS Pharmacy in the West Gate Mall.In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Jackson "Buddy" Crawford Jr. He is survived by two sisters, Sue Gibbs and Judy Simms and her husband Floyd all of Old Fort, several nieces and nephews, and long time companion John C Southern Jr. of Asheville. The Requiem will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, November 19, 2012 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church with The Reverend Victor Mansfield officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends following the interment in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, by John's request, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Episcopal Church Building Fund, 30 Macon St #2, Asheville, NC 28801.
