HAMILTON - John Connolly, 87, of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at Arcadia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hamilton with his loving brother and sister in law by his side. Born in Fieldsboro, he lived most of his life in the Bordentown and Hamilton areas. He retired with over 30 years of service from the carpenters union Local 31 and had just received his 50-year membership pin.John played baseball and basketball in a lot of the local leagues and was an avid fisherman. He was also a member of the St. Raphael's/Holy Angels Parish at Holy Angels. Son of the late Bart and Katherine Cottrel Connolly and brother of the late Katherine Render, he is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, James and Jean Connolly of Crosswicks; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Buklad Memorial Home, 2141 S. Broad in Hamilton, with Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 a.m. in Holy Angels Church. Burial will follow in Bordentown Cemetery in Bordentown. Friends may call on Monday morning from 9 until 10 a.m. at the memorial home.
