Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Connolly was a retired Firefighter with the Bridgeport, Connecticut Fire Department. Mr. Connolly was also a veteran of the United States Army, the United States Navy and the United States Coast Guard. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, a Past Commander of The American Legion Post #11 in Bridgeport, CT and a parishioner of St. Raphael Roman Catholic Church in Lehigh Acres, FL.Mr. Connolly was also the husband of the late Annie Connolly. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law John K. and Donna M. Connolly, of Lehigh Acres, FL and his grandchildren, Jodie Forgione of Lehigh Acres, Chris (Brandi) Forgione of Lehigh Acres, Laura (William) Delgado of AR, John R. Connolly of NC, Sean (Rachel) Connolly of Lehigh Acres, 7 great-grandchildren, 3 nieces and 1 nephew. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday, July 23, 2007 at 10:30 AM from the Anderson Funeral Home of Lehigh Acres, 2701 Lee Blvd., Lehigh Acres, FL 33971. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Myers, FL. Friends may also call on Sunday evening, July 22, 2007 from 4-6 PM at the funeral home.
