Joan P. Clark, 81, Sarasota, died April 11, 2004. She was born Feb. 20, 1923, in Jacksonville and came to Sarasota from there in 1924. She was a research assistant and a former member of Bird Key Yacht Club, the Field Club and Chi Omega Sorority. She graduated from Sarasota High School in 1941 and Auburn University in 1945. She was a member of Church of the Redeemer-Episcopal. Survivors include a brother, Edwin F. Price of Sarasota; and nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Church of the Redeemer. Burial will be private in Florida National Cemetery. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is in charge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Church of the Redeemer, 222 S. Palm Ave., Sarasota, FL 34236.
