MILLEN, Ga. - Joan C. Burke, 77, entered into rest Friday, January 30, 2009 at her residence. She was a retired LPN for the Bethany Home in Millen. Funeral services will be 2:00p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Telfair Street Chapel with Rev. Julius D. Turner officiating. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. She is survived by one daughter, Hilda B. Hill of Thomson, GA; son, Andy (Susan) Bunch of Portal, GA; step-son, Earl (Wendy) Burke, Jr. of Waynesboro, GA; sister, Beverly C. Dowdle of Clarks Hill, SC; grandchildren, Natalie Wilson, Darrell Hill, Drew Bunch, Randi Bunch, Brittany Burke, Ben Burke, and Daniel Burke, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Darrell Hill, Drew Bunch, Craig Elliott, Dan Key, Brian Johnson, David Nunnamaker, Jeff Elliott, and an alternate pallbearer, Rusty Hill. The family will receive friends Monday, February 2, 2009 from 5p.m. to 8p.m. at the funeral home.
