CLARK, JoAnn "Jodi" Loving wife, mother and grandmother of Hermitage, TN, passed away at 10:15 a.m. at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, Summit Hospital, on Thursday, April 18, 2008. Jodi was born in Knoxville, TN and moved with her husband, Carl Clark to the Donelson-Hermitage Area in 1960. Jodi was a member of the Andrew Price United Methodist Church for 48 years. While there, she and Carl worked in many capacities, including youth, Sunday school teaching, members of many committees and church groups. Jodi is survived by her loving husband, Carl Clark, who she was married to for 52 beautiful years; two sons, Greg and Amy Clark, and their two children, Kelsie and Carson of Hendersonville, TN, and Scott and Chris Clark, and their two daughters, Carly and Danielle of Davidson, NC. Jodi is well known in the area for her continued involvement in volunteer work for the Ronald McDonald House, YMCA, TPAC, NALTA, Bridge Clubs, the Stones River Women's Club and Secretary-Treasurer of the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition. She was also a Senior Tax Advisor for the H & R Block Company. Jodi participated in the Red Hat Society and she was responsible as Financial Assistant at Andrew Price United Methodist Church. In addition, she was the accountant for her husbands business, ETC WEST. Jodi graduated from Central High School in Knoxville, TN, married Carl Clark and moved to the Donelson area in 1959. Jodi is known as a "get it done" person. She always held several jobs at the same time, mostly volunteer work, and is known by hundreds for her work in promoting the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition in raising funds, and furnishing assistance and counseling for breast cancer victims. She has traveled to Washington, DC to lobby for additional benefits for breast cancer. She was a friend, and dedicated her time and talents to helping others. A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Sunday, April 20, 2008 at 2 p.m., from the Serenity Chapel of the Mount Olivet Funeral Home, with Rev. Denman Frazer officiating. Interment to follow in historic Mount Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Allen, Terry Maggart, Mike Eller, Doug Jones, Phil Peeler, Ralph Foley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition, PO Box 158014, Nashville, TN 37215.
