Parker, Jessie May INDIAN LAKE/ WAVERLY Jessie May Parker, 90, formerly of Indian Lake died on Tuesday morning, September 2, 2014 at Elderwood in Waverly. Born on August 15, 1924 in East Greenbush, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Carol (Grant) Sharp. Jessie was a graduate of Columbia High School in East Greenbush. She was a homemaker, but had also worked as a private cook and waitress. Jessie was an excellent seamstress and wonderful baker. She enjoyed gardening, yard sales, and collecting rabbits. The Sharp family enjoyed camping in the Adirondacks. Jessie met and married Walter (Pete) Smith and resided in Blue Mt. Lake with their two daughters. Later she married Edward B. Parker who died on November 23, 1998 after 36 years of marriage. They had one son. Ed and Jessie had retired to Lehigh Acres, Fla. in 1996. Besides her parents and husband, Jessie was predeceased by her sister, Laurel E. Barrett. She is survived by her two daughters, Holly Hoffman (husband Robert) of Bangor, Pa. and Kimberly Frew (husband Ray) of Depew; one son Edward B. Parker Jr. (wife Lynn) of East Greenbush; one granddaughter, Shelley Spring; five grandsons, Mathew Spring, Christopher and Warren Keller, Dustin and Terry Parker; one great-grandson, Sean Cook; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at Miller Funeral Home, 6357 State Route 30, Indian Lake. A funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Saturday at Miller Funeral Home with Rev. E. Paul Miller officiating. Interment will be in Cedar River Cemetery, Indian Lake.
