-> Mr. Jerry Williams, 58, entered eternal rest on October 2, 2005 at Candler Hospital. He was a native of Savannah, Georgia and was educated in the public schools of Chatham County. He graduated from Sophronia M. Tomkins High School in 1965. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army and served in the 64th Infantry Division. He was a former member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. He was a retired Longshoreman and a was a member of the International Longshoreman's Association Local 1414. He loved sports and played baseball for the Pirates sponsored by Sey Hey Lounge. He leaves to cherish his memories; two daughters, Beverly (Michael) Patrick and Courtney Williams; one son, Corey Williams all of Savannah, GA; his mother, Lula Mae Ladson of Savannah, GA; one sister, Ada (Randolph) Brown of Savannah, GA; one aunt; Jackie Ervin of Savannah, GA two grandchildren, Cherrelle Polite and Jamal Polite of Savannah, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and a special friend, Virginia "Peaches" Taylor of Savannah, GA.
