JEANNETTE (SHARRON) LEETIN MCGEE1923-2006Jeannette (Sharron) Leetin McGee, 83, died peacefully in her home at Asbury Place on Dec. 16, 2006 after a long illness with heart disease. She was always cheerful and optimistic despite her circumstance.She was born December 10, 1923 in Worcester, MA to parents Francis and Blanche Sharron. She attended elementary school in Worcester and graduated from high school at the former St. Anne's Academy in Marlboro, MA in 1941.In 1980, she married Henry McGee and they moved to Fort Meyers, FL shortly thereafter. In 2003, they moved to Gulf Breeze at Asbury Place, an assisted living facility, when she became ill. Jeannette is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 26 years, Henry B. McGee; three daughters: Kathleen Bouchard, husband Michael and their son Tyler of Scarborough, ME., Sharon Barry of Point Richmond, CA, and Susan Jaber of Worcester MA; a granddaughter, Sharon Sutton of Shelton, CT; a stepson Brian McGee, wife Marianne and their daughter Nora of Pensacola, FL. She also leaves a sister, Blanche Sargent of Ossippe, NH and a brother, Roy Sharron and his wife Cecile of Worcester, MA. She is predeceased by a sister, Frances Fisher. She worked as a bookkeeper at Demers Brothers, Worcester Boy's Trade High School and Worcester Vocational Technical Institute, where she retired in 1980. She enjoyed singing and playing bingo. She had a beautiful smile and a great laugh.The funeral will be held Tuesday, January 9 from RICE FUNERAL HOME, 300 Park Ave, Worcester, MA, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, 929 Main St., Worcester. Calling hours are Tuesday, Jan. 9 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N 12th Ave., Pensacola FL, 32504 or at www.covenanthospice.org. A special thank you to her stepson Brian McGee and her friends and the staff at Asbury Place who gave her love and comfort during her final days.
