JOHANIS, Jean-Jacques On Sunday January 9th 2005, in his 76th year, Jacques died peacefully at home. He was the son of the late Lucien Adrien Johanis and Julie Bruneau of Masson, Quebec, the brother of Liliane Johanis and the beloved cousin of Lise Bruneau of Buckingham, Quebec. Loving spouse of Carmen Dubeau, he will be sadly missed by her children: Manon (Richard), Bernard (Carole), Serge (Kathy) and grandchildren: Patrick, Katryn, Maxime, Alexandre, Sabrina, Marc-Andre, Dayton and Jesse. Predeceased by his beloved spouse Marthe Mercier, he will be fondly remembered by their children: Paul (JoAnne), Diane (John), Michel (Jeannie), Lucie and Julie (Jerry), their grandchildren Jesse, Amy (Jade), Sarah, Jade (Steve), Lilianne, Micha, Max, Luc and great-grandchildren Zoe, Jonathan and Shiloh. Also predeceased by two grand-children: Gibran and Kassandra. He leaves behind many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Jean-Jacques was born in Ottawa and grew up in Masson. After his studies at St-Alexandre college in Limbour, he settled his young family in Ottawa where he worked for many years as a tool and die maker at Beach Foundry. He was active in the scouting movement at St-Francois d'Assise parish. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus and had a passion for golf and trains. Always agile and good with his hands, he loved all games and remained for a long time near unbeatable at the pool and card tables, darts and sandbags. He remarried in 1989 and was warmly welcomed by the large Dubeau family of Aylmer. He spent many memorable summers surrounded by family and friends at his trailer in Eganville, lounging under the whispering pines of the Crooked Rapids Campground along the shores of the Bonnechere. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the FUNERARIUM BEAUCHAMP, Eardley Road in Aylmer on Thursday, January 13 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday January 14 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2005 at 10 a.m., St. Paul church in Aylmer.
