Obituary of Jean Ellis-Walker


Ellis Walker, Jean Mrs. Jean Ellis-Walker born in Vernon, Ontario on June 5, 1934 passed away peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital McConnell site on Monday, May 10, 2010 at the age of 75 years. Beloved wife of the late N.D. Jim Ellis (1977) and the late Graham N. Walker (1990). Loving sister of Robert H. Wilkes (Geraldine) of Cornwall, ON. Dear aunt of Sheryl Fontaine (Kevin) and Robbie Wilkes (Kellie) both of Cornwall, ON. Great aunt of Kayla and Shauna Fontaine and Ryan and Kevin Wilkes. Nana Jean of Jessica Sloan and Tiffany and Zac Stuart. Predeceased by her parents Clifford and Hilda (Feek) Wilkes. Jean was a retired teacher of the Ottawa Board of Education. She moved to Cornwall in 1991 and enjoyed meeting new friends at the bridge clubs. Jean was a member of St. John's Presbyterian Church. In keeping with Jean's wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held in St. John's Presbyterian Church on Friday May 14, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will take place at a later date in Springhill Cemetery, Vernon, Ontario. If so desired, contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
