GUILDERLAND Jane L. Kingsbury, 88, of Guilderland, died Sunday, September 10, 2006 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center. Mrs. Kingsbury was born in Plainfield, N.J., and lived in a wide variety of places in the northeast and Va., including Syracuse and Rochester, N.Y. She was a proud graduate of Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, Va. and was employed for a time as a special education teacher by BOCES in Rochester. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed needlepoint and volunteering at her church. She was an EFM graduate through St. George's Episcopal Church in Clifton Park, N.Y. Mrs. Kingsbury was the wife of the late John E. Kingsbury Sr. She is survived by her children, Susan Hollander of Westmere, John E. Ted Kingsbury Jr. (Fran) of Syracuse, N.Y., Joyce Kingsbury of Ojai, Calif. and Sarah Sally Kingsbury Mezey (Wade) of Birmingham, Mich.; her sister, Elizabeth Lewis of Rochester; her brother-in-law, Craig Smith of Princeton, N.J.; and by 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Sarah Smith. The family extends their endless gratitude and thanks to all the caregivers and staff at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center for the loving care they provided to Jane. A memorial service will be held in St. George's Episcopal Church, 912 Route 146, Clifton Park, NY 12065, Friday morning at 11:00. Relatives and friends are invited. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. George's Episcopal Church at the above address.
