STRICKLAND, James Edward "Jim," went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 17, 2005. A lifelong resident of the Brandon area, he was a member of SonLife Baptist Church, Valrico. He is survived by his children, James R. "Bob" and Pat Strickland of Hendersonville, N.C., Bonnie and Larry Guagliardo of Seffner, Karen and Kenneth Grimmer of Plant City, Paul and Teresa Strickland of Riverview, and Woodrow and Dolores Wadsworth of Riverview; one sister, Sandra McComas of Thonotosassa; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Jim enjoyed fishing, Nascar racing, the love of this family and serving the Lord in his church. He served his country in the Navy during World War II. A memorial service honoring Jim will be celebrated 11 a.m. today (Saturday), May 21, 2005, at SonLife Baptist Church.
